Stitching PSAs

Just a few things to share....

DMC has a new varigated floss called Color Variations. I haven't stitched with it yet, but it's quite pretty and I picked up a skein of blue yesterday. It's more on the expensive side - I paid $1.29 for the skein at Michael's, but we'll see how it works out.

Speaking of floss, check your local Joann's sales flyer. We got one advertising a 2-day sale this Sunday and Monday (Jan. 20-21) that had DMC floss on sale 5 for $1. I've noticed the prices have gone up lately - hovering somewhere around .30-.33 a skein, so I'll be stocking up on the sale.

And finally, Elegant Stitch is having an AWESOME sale on Little House Needleworks - 40% off on the Fruit and Inspirational series

I bought some of the new DMC floss recently, one in reds and one in greens. I plan on using them this weekend for a Christmas ornament. It is fine if you send stitchers to my blog for the Bride's Tree idea. I am more than happy to share.

I absolutely LOVE your new layout!!!! Where did you get it? Also, how do I set it so I can respond to my comments?

Now that was NOT nice! I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything else right now ;o)

Right now, we pay almost $1 per skein. The LNS charges 0.55 but they are two hours away :o(

LOVE the new layout/design!

Be careful at Michaels. When I bought a couple of Color Variations and 4 regular threds, they rang up one Color Variations and charged me for it 6 times... instead of 2 and 4. I went back the next day really p.o.ed (since they're supposed to ring them up separately anyways, for stocking reasons) and they gave me it back... but be careful.

Hehe, I got the same Joann's circular. Just about to put together my shopping list :-) Ivy has been devouring threads this week.

those new DMC's are great and comapred to other overdyed cottons actually quite afforable. I'm using the dark blue to do paradigm lost.

Here in the UK we pay nearly a dollar for one skein of DMC - hence I always stock up on my trips to the US!!

Love your new look blog.

I bought some of the DMC variations from Sew and So for 67p each I think it was ( about $1.27) but they are actually more expensive than that here. They are, however, lovely to stitch with. I'm using them for Ink Circles Sea Stars.

The colour you picked is gorgeous! I'll have to watch out for those, as well as the specials you mentioned.

I love the Variations, they have the prettiest colors, and it's great to have an overdyed that you can wash.

I'm really happy with the new DMC's, they are really nice to work with and give a very good variegation to your pieces. I wish I had a Joann's near me!!
